Nothing much happened on Monday, I played some Dead By Deadlight with Tom. It was fun but I had the fan literally glued to my face and still it was basically blowing hot air and doing nothing. He keeps trying to get me to play Marvel Rivals and I keep saying I'll consider it. I won't.

Tuesday and Wednesday was even worse, I didn't get any work done because sitting upstairs was literally killing me. Melting. But finally, for the week's most important news:
We had a really busy Thursday. Basically, my sister has been feeling down for a while. She hasn't been loving her room for some time and we decided to change stuff up before the school year starts. So she moved into what was my mum/my room and I would move into her smaller room. Problem is that it kind of left my mum without a room but considering my brother lives in the hallway of the second floor, wack arrangements are kind of a norm in this house. Plus she mostly works downstairs at her desk anyway so it really didn't do much to inconvenience her. Plus I would get my own room! Woohoo! I haven't had my own room in a few years now so you bet your ass I'm happy about it.
But no move is easy so it took us all day to take stuff out, clean, put stuff back, pack stuff away, and so on. Because this was all happening through my brother's hallway-room he was pretty mad. We did get it done but my new room is still a total mess. I'm gonna clean it up by next week and take some good pics. Here's a preview:

There's a secret cat here. ฅ≽(•⩊ •マ≼ |
Later in the evening we also had a movie night because it was Hisham's last day in town after which he would go back to uni. We invited Tom too so I introduced them and it was a lot of fun. We ended up watching Companion. It's a worse version of Ex-Machina but it was still pretty fun.
In the morning we all found refuge on the first floor as usual and were watching For All Man Kind, we've been watching it since a week or so ago. It's fine. Very, very red scare. But cool space stuff!

It's all about her this week! |
A bit after lunch Monique dropped by and offered to take us to swim in her pool. Marta and Yolanta already left to the public pool so we went without them. Her pool was pretty warm but it was still so good to finally be surrounded with water. Taught my brother to do a hand-stand in the water, apparently he didn't know how. Shocking, because it's just cheating at doing a hand-stand.
We stayed for dinner, Monique made some DIY pizzas and we listened to Etta James because she's got lots of CDs of 60s and 70s musicians. I also met Krevet, a cat of Monique's friend who's visiting. His story is crazy! He was rescued with his mother but the mother had AIDS and passed away. He was tested positive for it to so the vet suggested to put him down but Monique's friend couldn't do it. And he lived! It seems that it was a false positive and even though his mum had it she somehow didn't pass it to him. He's really healthy, happy, and loved and lives in a Parisian apartment usually but spends the summer at Monique's house. Chippie, Monique's cat, is mad about it. Monique also has many strays near her house who are so cute. But the town really needs a program to spay/neuter the strays because there is a lot of them. I know they've got catch and release sterilization programs like that in Europe and they are very human compared to the alternatives.
On Saturday we had a really great day at the lake. Monique drove us there just before lunch but didn't stay herself. It's a lovely lake that's about 25-30 minutes away from our town by car. When we got there it was pretty empty, just a few other swimmers and mostly people resting in the shade. We swum for a while then had some burgers for lunch at the nearby cafe.

Terrible family pics as usual. ৻( •̀ ᗜ •́ ৻) |
The girls, Marta and Yolanta even went on this wipe-out style course that's in the middle of the lake. It honestly looked really hard if not impossible in some parts. We left at about 5PM, Monique came to pick us up.
Sunday was pretty normal, it was still hot as hell. We fought with the AC but it still didn't work properly so we'll probably stop using it when the heatwave dies down.
This Week I'm Excited For...
You know it, I know it. Private Music by Deftones is going to be out next Friday, I'm literally going nuts. I'm excited as hell!
Image Of The Week...
I've been thinking about bedrooms ever since I've moved into mine. There's plenty of great groups of flickr that show off some very cool decor. This isn't even exactly the kind of bed I'd have for myself but it;s so pretty, especially the divider. Not sure where it's from originally but it can found on this blog.
Song Of The Week...
So this came out late last week but I've been listening to it non-stop this week. Even better than My Mind Is A Mountain and that song kicked ass. I was just a little unsure until 40 seconds into the song when that absolutely insane guitar-drums combo breaks through and doesn't really stop again. So good. Chino sings so beautifully and the chorus is direct and powerful. 10/10.
