This is a very late entry, as more than half of 2024 has already passed. But as they say, the best time to plant a tree is thirty years ago (unfeasible, I'm not even 26 yet...) and the second best is actually anytime after that because 'today' is relative.

◻ Find a job

I have been unemployed for over a year, partially because I am too anxious to look for work but mostly because of my document situation. I am still waiting to receive my titre de sejour and am supposed to have a temporary ID meanhwile... that hasn't been renewed for unknown reasons. Once I'm finally get it, I will try to start with part-time at stores, maybe at LIDL or Leclerc.

Week 32 - Wrote an email to a defense attorney who specializes in rights who has been looking over my case. Just reaching out to ask her if she has any news on my temporary document.  

Week 33 - Reached out to attorney again, she says she did not get a response,

Week 34 - No response still.

◻ Hack my banana phone

I own a Nokia 8110 and have always wanted to put custom firmware on it which will require some work with KaiOS that I do not know how to do. I need to find time to sit down and attempt it. 

Week 32 - No progress, I need to schedule some time to sit down and get down to business.

Week 33 - I did not do this this week.

Week 34 - Haven't used my banana in a while. Maybe it's time...

◻ Re-furbish my website

My poor website, left on stand-by for longer than a year. I want to make some serious changes to it which I have finally started! I also plan to actually update it often and not leave it totally stagnant.

Week 32 - I have designed a home page layout but there is still a lot of changes I want to make.

Week 33 - I have chosen a layout inspired by a website from a design book.

Week 34 - Much progress! General layout is almost complete.

◻ Keep a video/photo journal

My brother bought me a camcorder I wanted super bad, the Canon FS100. I plan to use it to film videos as often as possible and to edit them to into some kind of a video dairy, hopefully burning it onto some DVDs in the future. At the same time, I want to stop flooding my phone with photos for no reason and maybe actually tie them to some memories.

Week 32 - Camcorder battery is acting up again, might need to replace it soon. I have been taking more meaningful photos so that I have stuff for this blog.

Week 33 - Battery still functioning but charge ends much faster than desired.

Week 34 - Considering ordering extra battery next month. Time to make that list of things I want to film.

☑ Pass A2 French

I have officially taken my A2 exam! The teacher said it went well. Now, I have to continue to self-study until OFII invites me to B1 courses. I also plan to review A1 topics by studying them with my brother, who is just starting French. 

Week 32 - I am continuing to self-study while I wait for my A2 certificate.

Week 33 - Lazy self-study at home. Studying A1 with Mo as well, good refresher.

Week 34 - Barely studied this week!

◻ Keep up with blogs

I have a bunch of blogs now, so I want to actually keep them in use by dedicating a day to each blog and taking some time to think about those parts of my life. 

Week 32 - Outside the movie and music blog is has been going pretty well.

Week 33 - Kept up well, some posts to my fashion blog and drafted some posts to other blogs.

Week 34 - Started an entry to my music blog but didn't post it yet. Made banners for most of the blogs and buttons for all of them!

◻ Pre-order Moon Mirror by Nada Surf

When I listen to Nada Surf, I feel a special kind of happiness. I will reward myself with the new album early in September when I accomplish all my self-study goals.

☑ Wait for my brother to arrive in France

This wish was out of my control for so long! At last, the French embassy in Tbilisi granted by brother a long-stay visa for a family reunion! We haven't seen him in what was almost 2 years... He finally got to celebrate a birthday with us. Goddamn all wars ever.

Week 32 - We are watching the Director's cut of all the Lord of the Rings films on his request.

Week 33 - Studying A1 with him. He is waiting for his interview still

Week 34 - Olympics really slowed everything down, we are still waiting.
