I did receive a mail from the rights defense lawyer but she said that she did not receive anything from the prefecture so we're still waiting. My mum likes to renovate furniture in her free time and she's made us a great new cupboard this week:
I made some progress with my comic, I'm starting to transcribe the
script for the first chapter. I know that seems like literally nothing
(yeah, it kind of is) but I have re-written this chapter like 50 times
over at this point and I'm reaching a satisfaction with it at last. I
really dread what the following chapters writing process is going to
look like...

I have also been caught into reading other people's blogs (duh, that's what they're for!) but especially older blogs. I found one by accident called the princess portal written by a lady called Skye who was a lolita and a modern day princess. Honestly, though I can't relate super strongly as I don't find anything related to monarchy (even when its super removed) too appealing, I still really enjoy reading her entries. Maybe it's because she cared so much about the details and because its a look into the past I don't remember well because I was young. I don't know but I'm going through her whole blog and wondering what happened to her and what she's doing now. She's still a princess, right?

Chromewaves.net is totally different. It's not even deleted, just not active. Frank, who ran it, leaves a poignant goodbye message and is kind of my philosophy about writing any of my blogs. Don't make it for anyone else. I mean, I'm not making anything off of this. Maybe I'll meet some friends. But this is not a job. I'm not gonna act like it is and get burnt out for nothing. It doesn't mean I'm not gonna try to make this readable, fun, or you know, good. Just that when I fail I won't treat it like a catastrophe. I also like Frank's writing style, his strange phrases and metaphors. He's probably still active on Twitter but I don't go to that hellhole so I'll let it be.

We also re-watched the first two Lord of the Rings movies, director's cut which my brother and mum haven't seen before. They are all about four hours long so it's impossible to finish in one sitting. We're barely half way through Return of the King.
Thursday, Rose picked us up for a quick trip to a brocante behind the big Leclerc. It was pretty sparse and I didn't find anything except a cute bag, I put my markers in it.

This Saturday a childhood best friend is having her wedding. I had mixed feelings about going. Ofcourse I wanted to be there for her but I also hate traveling and events like weddings. Still, I would have gone for sure if not for my stupid document situation. I had to pick out some pictures of us all together from when we were kids so another friend who is attending could show them to reminisce about the past. Double stress because this friend wants me to come real bad and keeps hinting that I should go even without ID. I am not doing that! I don't want trouble. Man, it's crazy to think this person you knew for years as a kid is now all grown up and getting married. Three cheers.

I wish I could be there for her on such an important day. We have known each other since the start so it feels necessary. But its just not possible. There will be more moments that I won't miss so I'll just have to be content with that.
Anyway, when we finally finished Return of the King, we went out to the car show. It's a bit of a walk, maybe 20 or 30 minutes and if not for the Return of the Stupid Heat it would have been nothing. We made it anyway and my brother was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the collection and display that the local car enthusiasts possessed. It was rows and rows of new, old, and ANCIENT cars.

I was using my sisters camera but it's battery suddenly died halfway through our walk. Bummer. The rest of the photos I took with my smartphone. Lame. I'm seriously considering going back to my flip phone. I have such a cute Samsung I used to take around with me. Maybe it's time for a comeback.

Friday was pretty uneventful, I even forgot to write down what I was doing in my planner. I cooked burgers for everyone and we watched the last Diary of A Wimpy Kid film. They're great and the last one was set in the summer, so even better.
On Saturday I did get some things done but as usual it's literally borderline nothing. I guess I need to take wins wherever I get them, whatever they look like. It's my friend's wedding, and another friend was supposed to call me after the ceremony so that I could have a quick chat and wish her well but it seems they got caught up in the frenzy. It's ok, I think I'll leave her a message and she can call me back when she has time.

I got so nostalgic though about my best friend from high school, Y. We parted ways much better than with the childhood friend. We even saw each other once during uni, she came over to see me in Budapest. It was great. I miss her a lot, so I left her a message after a huge effort to get back into my instagram account. God, I hate social media... Anyway, let's hope she reaches out. It's been years. Like, since 2018...
