Goodbye winter, we're officially in very early spring. And it's too warm, too fast. Not the most successful month ever but I did actually get a lot done and found some leads on some job opportunities. Now if only someone actually wrote/called me back...
Goals
1. Plan birthday dinner for mum
Done and done, made a cannelloni upon her request.
2. Job search continued
Some good options have popped up but I'm still waiting for responses.
3. Apply for titre de voyage/carte vitale
Can't apply for the Carte Vitale right now, didn't apply for the titre de voyage yet. Lazy!
Coming to your from the future! Two weeks late but still around. The previous entry was a little heavy but this blog has always been about keeping it as real as can be without providing too much incriminating evidence.
This week no such serious thoughts passed my head (this is not accounting for the state of the world which somehow continues to fall further and further in a state of immeasurable disrepair). So let's take it easy as we move into late February.
Week 08.
Started my period on Monday so I was mostly bed-bound. Before that I dropped by the store but it hit me when I made it home. It was raining like crazy too. Tuesday was not so different aside from the fact I mailed my docs in order to renew my insurance. I'm supposed to have my Carte Vitale already but every time I tried to file a request on the site, it wouldn't go through. M social worker called about it and they told her that my social security number hasn't been 'activated'. Nice to know that while I've stressing this entire time the issue was that some guy in Paris didn't press a button yet. Still waiting on him to do that.
In the evening we celebrated the New Year! We had a mini-sleepover except the only guests were my sister and my brother who already live here so not really a sleepover at all. My sister did our nails and we played some Blur. We also did a super Myspace emo style photo shoot with way too much flash.
The year is 2006...
Wednesday and Thursday were a mess. Train schedules were fucked so my brother managed to get stuck in Agen for the entire day. He lived. On the weekend I spent a long time preparing stuff for Nanoreno, sprite sketches, story beats, and the like. I was actually feeling pretty bad about this demo until this week when it seems the creative juices decided to start flowing.
Also did an online sample test for driving. Shit dog, I don't know the law turns out... actually the issue was more to do with the fact that there were like 40 verbs I didn't even know existed. I passed with a 60% mark which I think is pretty terrible and I shouldn't be let near a road until I conjugate better.

This Week I'm Excited For...
My sister's birthday and Alice's birthday which are both happening next week. Birthday week all-around! My sister wants to go to the arcade so we'll probably end up doing that.
Song Of The Week...
I'm back on my country bullshit. Actually I heard this song totally by chance, my mum had some radio station on that happened to be playing Son Volt's Catching On which is an exceptionally great song. I think I've heard a bit of Son Volt before but I listened to the entirety of Trace for the first time this week and it's a flawless album. I will lie no longer, country is pretty great and I get that it's cool to say that it sucks but it just doesn't!
